Lakeside properties take a beating. Wind off the water, moisture in the air year-round, freeze-thaw cycles that wreck traditional shingles faster than most people expect. So when this homeowner came to us, they weren't just looking for a new roof - they wanted something that would actually hold up against all of it.
We put on a 24-gauge mechanically seamed metal roof in Mansard Brown. The gauge matters here. Thicker steel means better resistance to impact, wind uplift, and long-term wear. And the mechanically seamed profile locks each panel together with a tight, concealed seam - no exposed fasteners, no weak points where water can sneak in over time. For a home sitting right on the lake, that's not a small detail.
The color choice is a great fit for the setting too. Mansard Brown has a rich, earthy tone that blends naturally into the wooded lakeshore surroundings without looking out of place. It's one of those colors that photographs well from the ground and looks even better up close, where you can see the clean panel lines running from ridge to eave.
We're not done yet either. Next up is 24-gauge board and batten steel siding in Western Rust - and the two finishes are going to pair really well together. The siding wrap is already underway, so stay tuned for the full exterior reveal once that's complete.
